Brother Nadir: A top Tayba student is rejoining free-society

A Tayba student getting out of prison is always exciting.

But today's an even more special occasion.

That's because brother Nadir is getting out. May 15, 2019.

It's a special occasion because the Muslim ummah has just gained an incredible asset: brother Nadir isn't your run-of-the-mill student.

He's reached a level where he could be called a shaykh.

Brother Nadir has referred to Tayba nearly a decade ago. In that time, he didn't just study the Tayba curriculum we provide to everyone.

He also studied advanced subjects privately with Tayba's founder, Shaykh Rami Nsour.

Over the past decade of private study, he has memorized and mastered many of the classical Islamic texts, having been given permission to teach what he's learned (ijaza).

He's perhaps the most advanced student Tayba has taught.

But it's not all peachy.

Coming back to free society is difficult. The prison system places many restrictions on parolees and provides little help.

Nadir will need to find a place to live and a job to afford the rent and other basic living expenses.

All of that's a lot harder for an ex-prisoner, especially if family isn't around or willing to help.

Can you help brothers like Nadir?

Tayba doesn't just help produce teachers like Nadir.

We also offer extensive support for those rejoining free society by providing counselling, mentorship, financial support, job search assistance, and more.
