Statement: Supporting our Black brothers and sisters

Here at the Tayba Foundation, our mantra is “Freedom Through Education”.

For almost 15 years our work has been educating the incarcerated, supporting their repentance and transformation, while facilitating their reentry into society upon release.

We see firsthand the effects of judicial oppression in the form of over-policing, overcharging, and over-incarceration, especially amongst people of color.

We want to take this moment to express our solidarity with our black brothers and sisters impacted by oppression in all of its forms.

We wholeheartedly condemned police brutality and all of the other expressions of anti-blackness.

We stand with you, we support you and we will continue to do this work as a stand against structural racism however it manifests itself.
