Help a prisoner learn the deen - every month

Did you know that nearly 10% of US prisoners become Muslim? Yet few have any way of learning their deen or asking religious questions.

Becoming a PrisonConnect member is a simple (but powerful) way to bring the light of knowledge to these Forgotten Believers.

We have a lot of experience working with some of the most taboo problems in our community: drug addictions, homosexuality, raising children of another faith, you name it. But these problems don’t just exist behind bars. How can we address them here in free society?

All PrisonConnect members will be able to learn just that through six live seminars per year on these topics and more and access to a growing library of past recordings.

tayba books

There’s a reason why our Essentials of Islam curriculum is spreading like wildfire both behind bars and on the outside.

It’s an entirely new approach to teaching the foundations of our Islamic faith.

PrisonConnect members giving $15/month or more will receive a book from the Essentials series every quarter for a total of six - exploring the most important topics every Muslim should know.

We’re excited to be partnering with Mecca Books, who will offer a 20% discount on all of their products for all PrisonConnect members!

In addition, members giving $30/month or more will also receive an annual gift, courtesy of Mecca Books! (this is just as little $1/day), as well as all the benefits above.

Helping prisoners is overlooked. it’s a community obligation which not all members are fulfilling so we definitely want to put in our share.

Sidra

“[I support] Tayba because it helps some of the most vulnerable and lonely people in the world. I could have easily been one of them if I had been raised with experiences similar to them.”

Behnoush

“I support Tayba because it helps one of the most unsupported areas of our community. We pray that the hand of redemption and forgiveness be extended to all of us … Ameen.”

“I think the work you are doing to properly educate incarcerated Muslims is vital. Also I love to read stories of the brothers and sisters who get out.”

Nicole

“I strongly believe that prisoners thoroughly deserve a second chance in life. Allah SWT commands us to be merciful to others especially your fellow Muslim brothers.”

What our monthly donors say:

“... these books you have sent have really grown our Jumu'a here. We now offer Arabic lessons [and] we cover chapters and lessons from within the other Essentials books... We would be unable to do this if it wasn't for your incredible Foundation.”
